A two bedroom stone built holiday cottage attached to the owners farmhouse and set back from the raod in 27 acres of farmland, West Shaw Cote cottage has fantastic views of Addleborough and Weather Fell .

West Shaw Cote Cottage is a semi detached stone property sleeping up to four people in two bedrooms and offers comfortable accommodation suitable for families or groups of friends wishing to holiday together. The property is situated midway between Askrigg and Hardraw in Upper Wensleydale and is reached by a private road.  This converted barn occupies a superb position on a plateau and as such benefits from far reaching views over the Dale.  It is well-equipped and boasts comfortable leather sofas, solid oak furniture, a multi fuel stove in the lounge, spacious kitchen/diner and has stunning views from every window from where you may be lucky to catch a glimpse of the visiting wildlife such as oystercatchers, curlews. The popular market town of Hawes can be reached via a footpath from the cottage.

The cottage can also be booked with 6 yurts (Lapwing, Oystercatcher, Curlew, Swallow, Barn Owl and Goldfinch ) to provide group accommodation for up to 28 guests.

Kitchen/Diner: Dining table and chairs, electric hob, double oven, grill, fridge with icebox, further fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, solid wood work tops, Belfast sink, bread-making machine, slow cooker, vegetable steamer. Nespresso coffee machine
Storage room: Storage for coats and boots. 
Lounge: Feature fireplace with multi fuel stove (welcome pack of fuel provided), Smart TV, leather sofas, oak coffee table, sideboard.

FIRST FLOOR:
Bedroom 1: King-size bed, chest of drawers, wardrobe, window seat.
Bedroom 2: Zip and Link beds (can be king-size or twin), fitted wardrobes with shelves.
Bathroom: Bath with waterfall taps, separate shower, washbasin, toilet. 

Pets:  One dog welcome. Kindly note if you are bringing a pet this property does not have an enclosed garden.
Parking: Ample parking at the side of the property.
Heating: Multi fuel stove (welcome pack of fuel provided), oil central heating.
Garden/Patio:  Patio area and garden to the side and front of the property.
Short Breaks: Short breaks accepted all year round. 


Notes: Towels are provided. Unlimited WiFi is available free of charge. No smoking at this property.

Mobile phone signal is variable.  

The property is reached by a private ¼ mile gravelled unmade road  and adjoins the farmhouse, it is separated by a secure lockable door. Cot and high chair available on request. Guests can purchase fresh eggs from our chickens.  

 

A hot tub is available to hire for an additional charge.

Alternatively we have our own woodfired hottub and sauna a short walk from the cottage which can be hired for a 2 hr session at a cost of  £65.

An electric charge point for electric cars is available for an honesty box charge.

To Steve, Jo & Family, thank you for a wonderful stay in your lovely, homely cottage! What beautiful Dales countryside you live in too - we'll really miss the views! The cottage has been great & so cosy - especially with the gorgeous wood burner! It really has been the proper home - from - home break that we needed! We'd recommend the Wheatsheaf Inn pub in Carperby for delicious food in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere - they welcome dogs to! We hope to be back again soon, thanks again.

To Steve & Jo, we would like to say thank you for our lovely stay. This cottage is beautiful. We definitely felt at home while we was here even though it's only for a few days, We are definitely coming back for longer next time. You gave a lovely welcome. The views are breathtaking, the animals are so adorable, our dog really enjoyed his time here. He loved watching the chickens and the pigs. The whole place is amazing, had everything we could possibly want and more. Beds comfy, kitchen is lovely as is the bathroom. You guys are lovely people, thank you for the brownies and wine, they were lovely. Very thoughtful. Hope to be back soon.

Such a lovely, comfortable, warm cottage! Lots of lovely touches - welcoming us with cake and the heating on! Great to have such nice linen and towels - small things make a holiday! We've had fabulous walks - even in the drizzle. Would love to return and hope to do so. Will definitely recommend you - Thank you
